Sarah has a passion for creating a culture of listening and caring for every client who reaches out to Fears Law. For Sarah, the law isn’t about simply winning, it’s also about practicing it with kindness, compassion, and respect.

Growing up in a cabin at 10,000 feet with no electricity, running water, or telephone gave Sarah a unique perspective. Her native upbringing in rural Colorado imbued her with an appreciation for the land and animals, as well as a deep respect for the community of middle America. Sarah’s desire to serve and help people through the law stems from these experiences and values. They’re also what led to her early career as a public defender and to her last 25 years of criminal and traffic defense work, specializing in representing over the road truck drivers.

Sarah has woven volunteer work into her personal and professional life with the creation of “Law Nights” that regularly offer free legal advice to economically challenged communities. She also volunteers with Team Rubicon, a veteran-based organization that responds to disaster-stricken regions helping rebuild communities. Sarah and her husband have two daughters and a rescue mastiff, who believes with all his heart that he was born to be a lap dog.
