Matt Duke

Attorney

To begin his career, Matt became a bank’s personal ATM. No really. In year one of his 5-year run as in-house counsel for a bank, Matt created and ran a title company subsidiary that earned $1,000,000 in profit within a year of its formation. He also coordinated and managed a 13-property commercial transaction in 7 states, valued at 9-figures.

Matt has extensive knowledge on property issues, having conducted numerous lien searches on properties and companies, while also handling all the initial steps of business formation for the subsidiary, including drafting agreements with third-party providers, shared services agreements between the subsidiary and the bank, corporate documentation, and more. He also helped to coordinate the acquisition of a College Savings Bank, in Princeton, NJ, just a mile down the road from his alma mater. While Associate General Counsel, he spearheaded the acquisition of a 7-franchise restaurant chain in central Illinois, drafting the documents for the purchase of the assets (as well as the brick-and-mortar locations) while also transferring and assigning all agreements to the new entity, then enacting a transition plan.

In his free time, Matt voraciously keeps up on current events, dominates trivia nights at nearby restaurants and bars, and stays busy with community outreach in the Uptown Dallas area.
